Ibis - An Occult Baseball Trading Card Game
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
For 999 years the game of BASEBALL reigned supreme.
You have discovered a shoebox of old baseball cards - within these cards the ancient power of the CHAMPIONS has accumulated. Will you master this power and return the IBIS to our world, or will you be sealed away with the CHAMPIONS when the power that first drove BASEBALL from our world returns?
IBIS is a two player card game made for the Buffalo Game Space's 9 Day game jam. It uses Jam Launch for multiplayer hosting.
Currently:
- It is not a trading card game. Didn't get around to deckbuilding during the jam. All players use the same example deck.
- It is only marginally a game. You can score runs, but you can only win or lose through the power of imagination.
- You cannot unlock the secrets of BASEBALL in this version of the game. I want to add a single player mini-campaign if I work on this more. If I never work on it more then the secrets of BASEBALL will remain hidden.
- The outfield doesn't do anything. You might be able to put people there, but there isn't a reason to. A functional outfield will be released as $100 DLC.
